Bio
A solitary pagan just left of the Bible belt. The journal contains my musings and observations about the journey we call life.

I'm a sucker for children, old people, animals and nature. I believe that I am a spiritual being having a human experience, and will continue to have human experiences till I get all the lessons learned.

I can't say I don't believe in marriage, because I've been married and divorced five times to four different guys (recycling is not a good thing when it comes to SOs). What I can say is that I don't believe that true love and commitment are made any deeper or more desirable just because the government puts its seal of approval on them. Having said that, I also have to say that I have no problem with gay men and lesbians being able to enter into a state sponsored, legal marriage contract, although from the mess we straights have made of it, I can only wonder why they would want to. But, to each his/her own.

I have a different definition of family than some folks. I believe that a family is made up of people who love each other and identify themselves as such. With all due respect to those more socially conservative than I, I can only say that you're just going to have to adjust. Everyone else doesn't have to fix into your box.

All comments to the blog are welcome, even those of anonymous commenters. That's one of the reasons I use LiveJournal - I can choose settings that don't require people to have a LJ acocunt in order to comment on my blog. However, if you use anonymity as a protective cover to do some "drive by" commenting intended to annoy or harass me or anyone else who is the subject of or commenting on an entry, you need to know that all IP addresses of commenters are logged and anonymous posts must be screened by moi before they show up in the entry.

If your anonymous comment is only mildly shitty - oh hell, let's go for moderately shitty, I'm in a benevolent mood today - then I'll likely leave it up so you can serve as cannon fodder for me and anyone else who decides you are a sleaze, creep, perv or permanently out to lunch.

And if you really piss me off, then I have your IP address and thanks to traceroute software, I know just about where you are. If you continue to pull that kind of shit in my space, then rest assured I'll deal with you in my own time and my own way.

A word about this thing LJ calls "friending." If you enjoy reading what I write, feel free to add me to your list. You don't have to ask. Anything I didn't want you to see, you couldn't. I add people to my friends list because I enjoy their writing and/or photography. I don't ask, because I don't have to. I do, however, read the profiles of the journal owners before I add them, so if I see dire warnings and "rules" about adding or deleting them as a "friend," I save myself the grief of reading what would surely be equally histrionic content. And I send up a silent prayer in behalf of their real life friends. . .

I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ. Gandhi
